CLARK NEXSEN, PC TO DESIGN AND SERVE AS ANCHOR TENANT
IN NEW TOWN CENTER TOWER

HAMPTON ROADS, VIRGINIA September 11, 2012 – Clark Nexsen, PC an established leader in providing architecture, engineering, interior design, planning, and landscape architecture services announces that the firm has been awarded the design of a brand new tower to be located in Town Center. The building will be constructed on block 11, which stands on Town Center Drive between Main and Columbus streets. The proposed tower includes an eight to ten story office tower,
five to seven levels of parking to accommodate 800-1,000 vehicles, and 268 apartment units and grade level retail spaces. Clark Nexsen, PC will occupy 80,000 SF of the office tower.
Tom Winborne, CEO of Clark Nexsen, PC has stated that the move will provide modern architectural interior spaces that the younger generation of design professionals expect to work within. This should lead to an easier recruitment of architecture and engineering graduates from around the country, making their relocation to the Hampton Roads area more appealing. This location will also provide a more urban environment with several convenient amenities such as restaurants, theaters and housing. The potential of the Tide extending to Town Center and the Ocean Front area was also a major factor in deciding on this location. Their current employees live all over Hampton Roads, and the Tide will make it easier for them to travel to and from work without running into the local traffic. They looked at several other locations in the Hampton Roads area, and even considered a major renovation to their current building, but the Town Center location is ready to build on making it more possible to have a building to occupy in less than two years when their current lease expires.
